Cambuslang Footbridge

The Cambuslang Footbridge is a four-span pedestrian bridge which crosses the River Clyde between Carmyle and Cambuslang, just upstream of the late 19th C. road bridge, on the site of an earlier mineral railway bridge. Opened in 1977, this footbridge was designed by Strathclyde Regional Council and built by Fairclough Ltd. A concrete deck lies over a steel plate girder structure which is supported on concrete piers.
