Dalgety Bay Railway Station


(Bàgh Dhealgadaidh)

A railway halt in S Fife, Dalgety Bay Station (Gael: Bàgh Dhealgadaidh) is located on the northern edge of the town, next to Donibristle Industrial Estate. Opened in 1998 and operated by ScotRail, Dalgety Bay Railway Station is unstaffed. A footbridge connects the two platforms, which feature simple modern passenger shelters. There is a sizeable car park next to the station.

Although physically located on the East Coast Main Line, it is generally only local services on the Fife Circle Line which stop here. Passenger numbers have been steadily increasing over recent years, reaching 341,000 passengers in 2016. It is preceded by Inverkeithing Railway Station, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the west southwest, and followed by Aberdour, 2¾ miles (4.5 km) to the east northeast.

The nearby Donibristle Halt served the former Fleet Air Arm base between 1942 and 1959.
