Kilpatrick Railway Station

(Cill Phàdraig)

A two-platform railway station on the North Clyde Line, Kilpatrick (Gael: Cill Phàdraig) is located a quarter-mile (0.5 km) east of Old Kilpatrick (West Dunbartonshire) and 1¼ miles (2 km) north northeast of Erskine (Renfrewshire). Opening in 1858 on the Glasgow, Dumbarton & Helensburgh Railway, the station is situated on the north bank of the River Clyde, now under the northern approach span of the Erskine Bridge.

Operated by ScotRail, Kilpatrick Railway Station is unstaffed and is used by around 135,000 passengers per annum (2016). It is preceded by Dalmuir Railway Station, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the southeast, and followed by Bowling, 1½ miles (2.5 km) to the west northwest.
