Ladybank Railway Station

A railway station and a junction on the East Coast Main Line, Ladybank (referred to as Leathad Bog in Gaelic) is located on the southeastern edge of the village, a half-mile (1 km) north northwest of Kingskettle in Fife. This station was originally located on the Edinburgh & Northern Railway and opened in 1847. Now operated by ScotRail, Ladybank Station is staffed part-time. Usage has grown steadily over the last few years, to more than 80,000 passengers in 2016. It is preceded by Markinch Railway Station, 5 miles (8 km) to the south and, on the western branch, followed by Perth, 15 miles (24 km) to the northwest, and on the Dundee branch, by Springfield, 3 miles (5 km) to the east northeast.
