Springfield Railway Station (Gael: Achadh an Fhuarain) lies on the East Coast Main Line, a half-mile (1 km) east of the village of Springfield and 1¼ miles (2 km) southwest of Cupar Muir in Fife. This station opened in 1847 on the Edinburgh & Northern Railway. Now operated by ScotRail, Springfield has two platforms but is unstaffed. Limited services stop here, resulting in this being the least used railway station in Fife, with only 702 passengers in 2016. It is preceded by Ladybank Railway Station, 3 miles (5 km) to the west southwest, and followed by Cupar, 2¼ miles (3.5 km) to the northeast.
