Williamwood Railway Station

A suburban railway station in East Renfrewshire, Williamwood (known in Gaelic as Coille Uilleim) lies on the Neilston Branch of the Cathcart Circle Line, a half-mile (1 km) northwest of Clarkston and a similar distance south of Giffnock. This two-platform station opened in 1929 on the former Lanarkshire and Ayrshire Railway, which by this stage was part of the London, Midland & Scottish network. It is preceded by Muirend Railway Station, 1¼ miles (2 km) to the north northeast, and followed by Whitecraigs, a mile (1.5 km) to the west southwest.

Now operated by ScotRail, Williamwood Railway Station is staffed part-time and was used by 224,224 passengers per annum (2010).
