Starlaw Distillery

(Glen Turner Distillery)

An industrial grain distillery located at Starlaw in West Lothian, the Starlaw Distillery is located 2 miles (3 km) west of Livingston. Construction of the £15-million plant began in 2007 and it produced its first raw spirit four years later. It is owned by French drinks group La Martiniquaise, forming part of its Scottish subsidiary Glen Turner, providing grain spirit for blending into its whisky. The purpose-built facility is unique in Scotland as it integrates grain distillation, maturation, blending and a bottling plant on a single site. It produces 25,000,000 litres of alcohol annually.
