High Bridge of Tarff

A single-arch masonry bridge which crosses the Tarff Water between Valleyfield and Tarff, the High Bridge of Tarff replaced the nearby Old Bridge of Tarff in 1832. Built on a grander scale than its predecessor, it is constructed of red sandstone ashlar and the carriageway is 10m (33 feet) in width. Like the Old Bridge, the High Bridge has been B-listed since 1971.
