Ellan Bridge

A seven-span reinforced concrete foot-bridge over the tidal River Thurso in Thurso (Caithness), a plaque record that the Ellan Bridge was "opened First October 1960 by John Mackay, stonedresser, who for fifty years crossed this river to the flagstone works." It is supported on six pairs of spindly concrete piers.
