Bridge of Dun Railway Station

A privately-operated railway station that represents the eastern terminus of the Caledonian Railway in the small settlement of Bridge of Dun in Angus. The station opened on the Aberdeen Railway in 1848, with a junction to Brechin, and operated as part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway and then British Railways until it closed in 1967. The station and the branch to Brechin reopened as a heritage railway in 1993.
