Parish of Urquhart Urquhart is a coastal parish, which lies in Moray Council Area, some 5 miles (8 km) east of Elgin and 8 miles (13 km) west of Buckie in Moray.It is located in the old county of Moray, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 50.8 sq. km (19.6 sq. miles).
