Painter. Born in Edinburgh, Fraser trained at the Trustees' Academy with Sir David Wilkie (1785 - 1841). He moved to London in 1813 to work for Wilkie, painting commissions which Wilkie no time to undertake. His works include Interior of a Cottage in the Hebrides (c.1835) and Figures Outside an Inn both held by the Tate Gallery in London, together with Tapping the Ale Barrel, A Scene at Newhaven (1841) and The Fisherman's Family (1854).
