Roy Williamson


1936 - 1990

Folk musician. Born in Edinburgh, Williamson was educated at Gordonstoun School followed by Edinburgh College of Art. He became half of the Scottish folk band "The Corries" who, in the 1960s, wrote "Flower of Scotland", which has subsequently been adopted as Scotland's unofficial National Anthem. He lived in Forres.
