Golfer. Born in Dechmont (West Lothian), the nephew of another golfer Bernard Gallacher (b. 1949). He was educated at Bathgate Academy but left for a job as a porter at St. John's Hospital in Livingston to fund his golf. In 1995, at the age of 21, Gallacher turned professional. In 2004, he won the Dunhill Links Championship in St. Andrews, followed by the Dubai Desert Classic in both 2013 and 2014. He contributed to the European win in the Ryder Cup of 2014.
Gallacher now lives in Linlithgow.
