Singer and musician. Born in Irvine (North Ayrshire), Neil was educated at Prestwick Academy and the University of Glasgow. He formed the rock band Biffy Clyro with twins James and Ben Johnston (b.1980) while still at school, with all three moving to Glasgow in 1997. Their albums include Blackened Sky (2002), The Vertigo of Bliss (2003), Infinity Land (2004), Puzzle (2007), Only Revolutions (2009), Opposites (2013) and Ellipsis (2016). Neil has also played alongside J.P. Reid (b.1971) in the band Marmaduke Duke from 2003. He lives with his wife in Ayr.
