Grant Hardie


1992 -

Curling champion. Born in Dumfries, Hardie was raised in Kirkgunzeon. He was educated at Merchiston Castle School in Edinburgh, where he won the schools curling championship in 2010 with a team including his cousin Hammy McMillan (b. 1992). He graduated in civil engineering from the University of Strathclyde. Hardie is a member of Crocketford Curling Club. He joined a team skipped by Bruce Mouat (b. 1994) and including McMillan and Bobby Lammie (b. 1997) they took gold medals at the European Curling Championships in Tallin (2018) and Lillehammer (2021). This team also took a bronze medal at the World Men's Curling Championship in Las Vegas (2018) followed by a silver at Calgary in 2021. They gained another silver for Great Britain at the Beijing Winter Olympics (2022), losing to Sweden in a nail-bitingly close final.
