Jean Johansson

Television presenter and journalist. Born Jean Anderson in Kenya, one of seven children of a Scottish father and Ugandan mother. Her father was a teacher from Kirkcaldy and he brought his family back to Port Glasgow, where Johansson was raised. She was educated at Port Glasgow High School, going on to study journalism at James Watt College in Greenock and the University of Paisley. She began her career as a weather presenter on Scottish Television but became known as the presenter of A Place in the Sun for Channel Four and Animal Park for the BBC. She also writes a column for the Sunday Mail. Johansson has taken part in Celebrity MasterChef (2018) and won Celebrity Mastermind (2022).

In 2008 she married Jonaton Johansson, a Finnish-Swedish footballer who she met in Scotland while he was playing for Rangers. The couple live with their son in Wemyss Bay.
