Mary Gordon

Actress. Born Mary Gilmour in Glasgow. Gordon travelled to America with a touring theatre company. She went on to take character roles in more than 200 Hollywood films, between 1925 and 1950. She is perhaps best remembered for her screen portrayal of Mrs. Hudson, the housekeeper to Sherlock Holmes, a role she played nine times.

She died in Pasadena, California.
