Robert Mylne

1817 - 1890

Architect and surveyor. He was born into a notable family of architects and builders, grandson of another Robert Mylne (1733 - 1811). Although based mainly in Birmingham, he discovered that one of the buildings used as a powder-store in Edinburgh Castle was actually the 12th-C. St. Margaret's Chapel, which he restored.
