The Kirkton of Foss in Perth and Kinross lies on the Allt Kynachan which joins the southwest corner of Loch Tummel close by. Situated nearly 10 miles (16 km) west of Pitlochry, the settlement once enjoyed an annual fair in March. Close by is Foss House, built as a seat of the Menzies family.
