A settlement in the Carse of Gowrie, Glencarse is situated by the A85 road, 4 miles (6 km) east of Perth. Laid out as an estate village, it follows the line of the old Perth-Dundee road. Glencarse House was built for Thomas Hunter in 1790 to a design by Robert and James Adam and the All Saints Episcopal Church was built in 1878.
