A roadside hamlet overlooking the north shore of Loch Tay, Perth and Kinross, Carie lies 7 miles (11 km) northeast of Killin. A ferry used to ply from the nearby shore to Ardeonaig on the south side of Loch Tay. There is another Carie on the south shore of Loch Rannoch 12 miles (19 km) to the north.
