Eskbank

Midlothian

A western suburb of the Midlothian town of Dalkeith, which is characterised by desirable large Victorian villas. Eskbank regained its railway station in 2015, having once been an important stop on the route south through the Borders. Its original station opened in 1831 and closed with the rest of the Waverley Line in 1969.

The Eskbank roundabout forms a six-way junction, although the A7 from Edinburgh now bypasses it to the west.
