Clachan

Argyll and Bute

A small and scattered community which forms the principal settlement on the island of Lismore, Clachan lies on the B8045 road, 1¼ miles (2 km) northeast of Balliveolan and 2½ miles (4 km) southwest of the ferry jetty. St. Moluag's Cathedral is located here and the Oban banker John Stuart McCaig, noted for McCaig's Tower, was born here in 1823.
