A small crofting settlement of Caithness district in Highland Council, Mybster lies 1¼ miles (2 km) west northwest of the Loch of Toftingall and 4½ miles (7 km) west of Watten. It is centred on a junction between the A9 and B870 and strung out along both of these roads. Causeymire Wind Farm lies 2 miles / 3 km to the southwest.
