Highland

A hamlet and former railway station of Strath Dearn, in the Inverness district of Highland Council Area, Moy lies on the western shore of Loch Moy, 9 miles (14 .5 km) southeast of Inverness. Lying to the east of the A9 trunk road and Highland Line running south from Inverness, Moy is a scattered hamlet. Moy Hall is the seat of Clan Mackintosh, although the present building was only completed in 1957 it was here Prince Charles Edward Stuart was entertained before Culloden. Moy Church is no longer used for services and sits next to a grand manse, now a private home.
