Hill of Fearn


A village of Easter Ross, Hill of Fearn is located 4 miles (6.5 km) southeast of Tain. The smaller hamlet of Fearn lies a half-mile (0.8 km) to the southeast, while Fearn station lies a mile (1.5 km) to the west. The village benefits from a post office and a primary school, the latter dates from 1873 and includes a memorial to Peter Fraser (1884 - 1950), a former Prime Minister of New Zealand who was born in the village.
