A 19th Century fishing village, overlooking the Moray Firth, 6 miles (10 km) northeast of Cromarty.
Notable is the Hilton of Cadboll Pictish Cross-slab, a 9th. Century finely-carved stone. Although the original is now displayed in the Museum of Scotland, a replica was returned to the village in 2000. Recent excavations have revealed a further section of the slab which, following a local campaign, will remain in the village.
Buildings of interest include Hilton of Cadboll Chapel and the remains of the 14th Century Cadboll Castle just to the north.
