Kildonan Bay with ferry terminal being built at Galmisdale

A scattered settlement and ferry port on the southeast coast of the island of Eigg in the Inner Hebrides, Galmisdale represents the point of entry to the island. A new harbour was completed in 2004, with a causeway built across the shallow sandy bay from Galmisdale Point to deeper water. Within this causeway is a haven for yachts and a few fishing boats. A ferry calls here from Mallaig and continues around the Small Isles.
