Drumbuie

Highland

A location in Highland Council Area, Drumbuie lies between Kyle of Lochalsh and Plockton. In the 1970s an attempt to develop this site in association with the exploitation of North Sea oil and gas was successfully opposed by the local crofters and the National Trust for Scotland. Duirinish railway station, on the Kyle of Lochalsh line, lies a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the northeast.
