A location on the north coast of Caithness, Highland Council Area, Crosskirk is located on Crosskirk Bay, 5 miles (8 km) west of Thurso. On the cliff overlooking the sea stands the roofless 12th-century St. Mary's Chapel, one of the oldest ecclesiastical buildings in Caithness.
