Camault Muir

Highland

A scattered crofting settlement of Inverness district, Highland Council Area, Camault Muir is located immediately to the south of Kiltarlity and 4 miles (7 km) south of Beauly. The land formed part of the Lovat Estates and was improved by them in the later 18th C. At that time the most of the crofters were Camerons, Chisholms and Frasers. Many of the crofts have been replaced by substantial houses in the 1990s and 2000s. The Bruaich Burn flows to the west of the settlement.
