The settlement of Badachro is located 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Gairloch on the southern shore of Loch Gairloch, in the Ross and Cromarty district of Highland Council Area. The River Badachro runs through the village to join the Gair Loch to the north. In the loch sits the island of Eilean Horrisdale, while on the opposite side sits the Gairloch Heritage Museum.
