Longformacus

Scottish Borders

A village in the Berwickshire district of the Scottish Borders, Longformacus lies on the Dye Water on the south side of the Lammermuir Hills, 6 miles (10 km) northwest of Duns. Longformacus House was built in the 18th century by either William Adam or James Smith, and a parish church with mediaeval foundations was rebuilt in 1730. The Watch Water Reservoir to the west was created in the 1960s and the Southern Upland Way passes through the village.
