Ardgay


Highland

A hamlet in the parish of Kincardine, Ross-shire, Ardgay lies at the head of the Dornoch Firth and the entrance to Strathcarron, a mile (1.6 km) southwest of Bonar Bridge and 13 miles (21 km) west of Dornoch in Highland Council Area. There is a station here, which opened in 1874 on the railway line between Tain and Lairg. Originally known as Bonar Bridge, this station was renamed Ardgay in 1977.
