Located immediately to the southwest of Stepps and a mile (1.5 km) southeast of Robroyston, Millerston lies to the north of the Cumbernauld Road and northeast of Hogganfield Loch. Divided by the boundary between North Lanarkshire and Glasgow City, it is another of the suburban settlements of Glasgow, which developed from an outlying village. The Tower stands within Millerston and is a late 19th Century reproduction of a 17th century tower house. The University of Strathclyde's Stepps Playing Fields are also located here, to the west of Frankfield Loch.
