A small settlement in the Bathgate Hills of West Lothian, Tartraven is located 2¾ miles (4.5 km) south of Linlithgow. There is a farm at Mid Tartraven. There was once a castle between North Mains and South Mains although no trace remains, the stone having been reused in farm buildings.
