Johnstonebridge Dumfries and Galloway A small village of Annandale in Dumfries and Galloway, Johnstonebridge lies close to the River Annan, 8 miles (13 km) north of Lockerbie. Named after the Johnstone's of Annandale who lived at nearby Raehills, its bridge was built by Thomas Telford in 1820. Johnstone Parish Church dating from 1745 was enlarged in 1818.
