Eskdalemuir Kirk

A location in Eskdale, Dumfries and Galloway, Eskdalemuir lies in the Southern Uplands, 14 miles (22 km) northwest of Langholm. Situated within the Eskdalemuir Forest, it has a meteorological station. The first Buddhist temple in the Western world, the Tibetan Kagyu Samye Ling Buddhist Monastery and Tibetan Centre, was established near here in 1967.
