Auchencrow


Scottish Borders

A hamlet in the Berwickshire district of the Scottish Borders, Auchencrow lies on the southeastern edge of the Lammermuir Hills, 7 miles (11 km) west of Eyemouth. James Hutton (1726-97), the founder of modern geology, farmed at Slighhouses 2 miles (3 km) to the west and James Hutton Trail was established in 2006 with an exhibition in the Border Reivers Farm Shop.
