A small settlement lying to the north of the mouth of the Water of Girvan in South Ayrshire, Newton Kennedy lies opposite Girvan of which is it now forms a district. It is accessed via the Newton Kennedy Bridge, or Golf Course Road from the north. Alexander Noble's boat-building and ship-repair yard is located here, on the north side of Girvan Harbour.
