An abandoned farmstead lost in plantation forest above Glenmallanach on the eastern shore of Loch Long, Stronmallanach (or Sron Mallanach) lies on the slopes of a hill of the same name. First recorded in the 1590s, it was laterally the home of the McGregor family the last of whom left in the 1860s.
