Ardminish

(Ardmenish)
Argyll and Bute

Located on the eastern coast of the island of Gigha, Argyll and Bute, Ardminish (occasionally Ardmenish) overlooks Ardminish Bay. A vehicle ferry service connects with Tayinloan on the Kintyre peninsula. Gigha and Cara Parish Church (1923), Gigha Stores and Post Office (incorporating the island's petrol station), the community-owned Gigha Hotel and the island's primary school are all located here. Gigha Primary School was built in 1897 and extended in 2007. To the south of the village lie Achamore Gardens.
