Strathcarron Junction, Wester Ross

A small settlement with a railway station in Wester Ross, Strathcarron is located between the River Carron and the River Taodail at the head of Loch Carron 14 miles (23 km) northeast of Kyle of Lochalsh. The Strathcarron Junction between the A890 and A896 roads lies a mile (1.5 km) to the northwest of the settlement. The A890, which extends to Stromeferry 7 miles / 11 km to the southwest, via Attadale, was built as recently as 1973.
