Consisting of a single long street of stone cottages, the Moray village of Cummingstown lies between Burghead and Hopeman, overlooking the Moray Firth 6 miles (10 km) west of Lossiemouth. It was established in 1808 by Sir William Gordon-Cumming to house masons working in the nearby stone quarries.
