A linear crofting and fishing village in the Lochs district of the Isle of Lewis, Crossbost (Gael: Crosbost) lies at the mouth of Loch Leurbost immediately to the southwest of Ranish, a half-mile (1 km) southeast of Leurbost and 6 miles (10 km) south southwest of Stornoway. With Ranish, Crossbost occupies the neck of Aird Ranish. The settlement benefits from two churches, including the Lochs Parish Church, and a pier.
