A hamlet in Fife, Prestonhall lies on the B9130 road between Glenrothes and Markinch. Shown as a row of miners' cottages on the First Edition of the Ordnance Survey map, the settlement has been replaced by a modern private housing development. The New Preston Centre occupies a former school of 1875.
