Garlogie

Aberdeenshire

A roadside hamlet in Aberdeenshire, Garlogie lies on the Leuchar Burn, 10 miles (16 km) west of Aberdeen and two miles (3 km) east of Echt. It developed in the 19th century as a textile milling settlement drawing water power from Loch of Skene to the north. A gas compression and odourisation station, an important node on the national gas network, is located to the southwest.
