A small village of S Angus, Inveraldie lies on the site of buildings once associated with RAF Tealing, a former World War II air-force training base, situated a half-mile (1 km) south of Tealing and 4 miles (6.5 km) north of Dundee. Constructed from the 1950s the settlement comprised public housing, although many residences have subsequently been sold to their occupiers through right-to-buy legislation. Inveraldie benefits from the Inveraldie Inn (a public house) and the Tealing Hall.
