South Ballachulish

Highland

A location lying at the southern landfall of the Ballachulish Bridge, 2 miles (3 km) northwest of the village of Ballachulish. Situated here, the Ballachulish Hotel is a Gothic edifice dating from 1877 and the Georgian Ballachulish House, which is now also a hotel, lies immediately to the south. Ballachulish Ferry Railway Station was once located here, on a branch of the Callander and Oban Railway running from North Connel to Ballachulish, but the line closed in 1966.
